Stars and Stripes Forever - Celebrating Freedom

At our house, we are all about celebrating freedom. Keeping our country free. We believe in the Star and Stripes Forever.

For this special holiday, I have created a patriotic tablescape to celebrate our freedom.

I'm using American flag placemats from Kohl's with a navy and white paisley tablecloth.

My stack of dishes includes red plates, navy blue salad plates, and a red bowl. I love the patriotic napkins (Pottery Barn) folded in half and placed in the bowl.

The red goblets were a gift from my Dad years ago.

Flatware is Laurie Gates by Hampton - Sizzle Ivory.

The centerpiece for the table is a red bowl filled with vining red geraniums.

Antique mercury glass pillar holders from Pottery Barn were added to each end of the geraniums. Then red flameless pillar candles topped each pillar.

In some of my other posts, you have seen how my husband loves to grill. So, of course, he has been busy getting the pork butts ready for our celebration. Ya gotta love a "man who cooks."

One of the desserts we are having are individual mixed berry tarts I made with fresh fruit. I did have whipped topping to add for those who wanted it. I found the dessert on Pinterest here

The heart shaped flag plate is by Peggy Karr Glass.

I hope you enjoy this special day with your family and friends.

Thanks for stopping in as we celebrate freedom - Judy.

  1. I had to pin some of your fantastic pics of this tablescape before I even finished scrolling through your post! Love the deepness of the colours in the items you used especially the napkins, placemats and the lovely geranium centerpiece. That flatware is the perfect match and what a wonderful dad you have to give you red goblets! Your hubby sounds pretty special too with his ability to cook that yummy looking meat! Wishing you a happy celebration on the 4th!
