Christmas Wreath

I've been working on my kitchen mantel and wanted to share my wreath with you.

Many of you know how much I enjoy using aqua all year long and have seen many of my posts using this favorite color of mine.

I assembled the wreath with aqua stems and pieces that I bought at Michael's while they were on 30% or 40% off. So I got a bargain. I was disappointed with the glitter on the poinsettias, most of it fell off during assembly. The fabric of the flower seemed to be felt and the glitter just didn't stay on so I had a really big mess in the kitchen.

So now you know, I am using aqua in my kitchen! This might not surprise some of you that have seen so many of my aqua posts.

I'm not showing all of my mantel just yet so you can check back later to see the rest plus my aqua in the kitchen. Happy holidays - Judy.

Sparkle and Spode

I think many of us enjoy some sparkle for the holidays so I'm sharing a little sparkle with you on my tablescape.

For some sparkle, I'm using:

crystal candle holders plus crystal beaded stems with lots of bling

white deer glittered for lots of sparkle

silver ornaments and a Reed and Barton silver music box  that my sister gave me years ago.

My china is Spode Winter's Eve - Cranberry sitting on silver chargers.

Cranberry tablerunner to match the Spode Cranberry color.

My server at the end of the table is featuring more sparkle and Spoke with a silver tray and silver candlesticks plus some sparkle beading and bling.

On the left side of the candlesticks sits a Fitz and Floyd vase filled with silver branches and clear wrapping paper with a little sparkle.

Hope your holidays are filled with sparkle - Judy.

Classic Christmas Mantel

For my living room Christmas mantel, I decided to go with classic red plus chartreuse and keep it simple.

The red stemmed candle holders are a new addition to the mantel.

Plus they were a bargain from a local thrift store for $5.

This Santa is by Fitz and Floyd and is part of the Christmas Lodge Collection. I love the little owl sitting on his arm and his cool boots.

The small reindeer ornament is also from the Christmas Lodge Collection.

I have used the base of this wreath on several Christmas and just change the ornaments, flowers and ribbons. The Cardinal birds have been used in my house for many Christmases.

We have a special chair right beside the fireplace just for Santa. He can come down the chimney fireplace and sit down for a plate of cookies.

I strung the small ornaments with wire to make the garland.

Thanks for stopping by to see my Classic Christmas Mantel. Merry Christmas from my house to yours - Judy.

Coffee Corner Reprise

Although you have seen my coffee corner before, it's always fun to get it ready for the upcoming Christmas season.

I have many pieces and groups of Fitz and Floyd to decorate with, but one favorite (Snowy Woods) always comes to mind as my Christmas decorating begins.

As you start your decorating, you may want to stop by and relax with a cup of coffee. Happy decorating - Judy.
