A Quiet Moment

Our first snow came over night.
As the wind blew and trees cracked,
I knew the pond would be a beautiful sight
in the first morning light.

The air is cold and fresh on my face
As I step out to see the clear blue water so near
My feeling of contentment is overwhelming
Only the click of my camera do I hear.

Weeping Wall

The Weeping Wall is located in Glacier National Park in Montana. If you are not familiar with the wall, is a geological formation along Going-to-the-Sun Road in the park. It is a natural  waterfall that seeps out from the side of the Garden Wall, and is fed by runoff from snow melt. The water runs across the road and you drive through it.

Thanks for stopping by, I am posting to Watery Wednesday.

Homer, Alaska - Beach

When we visited Homer, Alaska, the rocky beach and the blue water were just beautiful. Then there were the blue mountains in the background that were just breathtaking. We enjoyed walking along the beach when the tide was out.

The water was too cold to swim but throwing rocks was fun for my grandson.

Many Glacier Lake

The waters of Many Glacier Lake were so beautiful and so peaceful. Many Glacier is an area within Glacier National Park which is located in the state of Montana. The Many Glacier region is located north of the Going-to-the-Sun Road on the east side of the park. The water was a magnificent color of blue. We filled our days with sight-seeing, hiking, boating and everyday we loved the wonders of nature.

We took a boat ride across Many Glacier Lake and it was so relaxing. Standing in front of the lake was the Many Glacier Hotel.

The hotel was under construction while we were there but was such a awesome site with the blue skies and blue water.
