Japanese Maple

This Japanese Maple is just gorgeous right now. With the sun shinning on it you really notice it's ribbonlike leaves and their burgundy wine color. Some leaves seem bronzy and some greenish or a little yellow.

The deeply divided lacy leaves on the branches look so delicate. This Japanese Maple seems wider than tall.

I wished it lived in my yard but it is in my daughter's yard.

Thanks for stopping by to see my daughter's Japanese Maple - Judy

  7. Your beautiful shots make me want a Japanese maple even more than before. I have a beautiful sort of regular red maple but not frilly like yours. I also want some ginkgo trees...have fallen in love with them. Gorgeous post...but it may turn out to be an expensive one for me :-) genie

  9. The Japanese Maple is one of my favorite trees. I don't see them around here (northern Ohio) but I had 2 in my yard when I lived in California. Your photos are beautiful!
