Flowers and Blooms - a gardener's delight

Today I am sharing the flowers and blooms in my front flower beds. Here's a view from the road looking at my azalea blooms with my house in the background.

Although this area isn't huge, it is packed with color and texture from late March to late Spring.

In early spring, the trees in my yard and the daffodils were in bloom.

Then the Irises started to bloom ...

and the dogwoods bloomed.

The wagelia buds opened to gorgeous flowers.

 The rose buds opened.

My favorites, the azaleas were covered in buds and I couldn't wait for them to open.

The white azalea below is new in the bed. It will need time to grow.

Although not in my garden, the magnolia trees by the driveway are now in bloom and the aroma is just so sweet.

Thanks for stopping in to see my flowers and blooms.  Another day of Life in Kentucky - Judy.

  1. Judy, your spring bloomers are beautiful! Are all of these blooming at the same time? Love, love your photos. :)

  2. Wow you have had a nice stretch of blooms! Love those azaleas, pink dogwood and magnolia. I just arranged some faux magnolia that look like yours. I had a magnolia (pink saucer style) but it became diseased and I lost it a few years ago. We can't grow the kind you have up here. It's fascinating to me to learn about each area of the country and how different they are from us with their bloom times. My dutch iris won't bloom until early June. You have a beautiful home and a nice big yard.

  3. Gorgeous flowers and gorgeous post. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Mercy, you live in a worldly paradise. I love all the flowers.

  5. Oh. My. Goodness. I would never leave home. How beautiful. You are quite the gardener and these photos make my flowers look quite pitiful!

  6. Judy, I love your flowers; we so miss or Azaleas and Rhodi's and some flower trees that we had in Ca. Your yard is beautiful. Thank you for sharing!

  7. Just gorgeous. The colors are so vibrant! Thanks for sharing your beautiful yard and flowers! I am following you now. I hope you'll come over and visit and follow me!
    Have a great week.

  8. Oh, Judy, how wonderful! and your house is so nice! It's got to be fun "discovering" all the new stuff in a new area. These are lovely blessings, indeed!

  10. Beautiful color in your garden. What a lovely treat to visit. Thanks for sharing, Judy. I adore visiting gardens.

  11. Judy, your azaleas are gorgeous! I forget when you moved...did you know you were getting so many beautiful flowering plants or are some a surprise when they pop up?
    Have a great week.

  12. Hello Judy, Your home and garden is beautiful. Your photos are so well done as well. I can never see too many flowers. Your white azeleas will definitely fill in and add to the beauty of your garden before you know it. Kentucky is a beautiful State.

Thank you for joining Blue Monday.

  13. I laughed when you said that the area wasn't huge. If you read my garden post, I showed gardens in my neighborhood where the houses are close enough we can almost stretch our hands out the windows of each others houses and touch.

    Your garden is lovely.

  14. Gorgeous Blooms and color in your gardens!
Thanks so much for joining us at the Garden Party!
    Have a lovely week,
