Our Mother's Day Table

Our Mother's Day table is set and ready for family to arrive.

As we honor our Mother's today, so many memories of my sweet Mom come flooding in. In this picture, Mom is about 18 years old.

Mom was dedicated to our family and always put us first.  She made many of our outfits and made the ones we are wearing in the pic below. My sister is on left with dark hair like Mom and that's me on the right with blonde hair like our Dad.

Back to our Mother's Day Table

Let's talk about the centerpiece for the table. I just love the ribbons!

I bought the ribbon a year or so ago and thought it would be beautiful in a centerpiece.

The aqua vase is filled with peonies, roses and other pink flowers then the ribbon was tied and added to the arrangement.

Lenox Eternal Gold flatware always makes a statement on a table!

The salad plates are Noritate Azalea and have been handed down through three generations of Mothers in our family. I have many piece of this pattern and today only used the salad plates.

White birds sit on each side of the centerpiece. You could think of these birds as our Mothers and Grandmothers who are no longer with us but always in our hearts.

I hope you were able to enjoy Mother's Day with someone you love! Thanks for stopping by to see Our Mother's Day Table - Judy.

  1. Judy - a table set for queens, which mothers certainly are! It always amazes me to look at vintage photographs - the ladies always look more mature than their age. Was it the hairstyle, or the mode of dress? So sophisticated at 18! I loved seeing the historic photos and your stunning table! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

  2. Oh, my gosh! You look just like my first grade friend, Theresa Lally, in that pic!!!!!!!!! I have a pic of us at our First Holy Communion in our little white dresses. You guys look SO MUCH alike! Your Mother’s Day tablescape was 100% on point and precious. Absolutely precious. I hope your day was as beautiful as you are!!!!

  3. I love the pic where you are with your lovely, dear mother. Such cute girls and yes, the dark haired one looks like your mom and your pretty face must be from dad's. My two girls were like you when they were young. One brown haired like me and one dirty-blond like hubby.
Your table for Mommies Day is gorgeous ! I love the Noritake heirloom china, so very pretty. The ribbons on the peony arrangement are just the feminine touch for it. So glad you had a great one.
    Hugs,
    Fabby

  4. Judy, I love the idea of the birds representing women in our family who are present in spirit. We are in total lockdown so another Mother's Day with no visit to see her. YUCK! Love your table and thanks for sharing. Have a great week. Sylvia D.
