Bobble Heads and Halloween Whimsey

Hi everyone, do you like bobble heads?

I have some cute little Halloween bobble heads that I'm using for a whimsical table.

I'm hoping my grandsons like this table, the 3 year old doesn't like anything too scary so I'm trying to keep it full of whimsy.

Halloween napkins tied with orange and white checked ribbon. They almost look like a treat bag; I'm thinking I need to add a little treat in the ribbon.

Cute Halloween plates sitting on a stack of black plates. I love the black and white stripe around the edges of the whimsical  plates.

More bobble heads and more whimsical plates

A patchwork tablecloth from Home Goods and black handled flatware.

The Halloween tree centerpiece has small black witch hats on the branches.

Check out the mask in the the third bobble head's hand. Looks like a cat mask.

The bread rack is dressed for the party too.

It starts with a black freaky tablecloth. Then add an eerie stack .

Scatter some heads

Add a centerpiece

Add candles, green stemware and green flatware

Candles, crows, and an owl on the server

Now it's all complete, skulls and all.

Trick or treat my friends - Judy.

White Dishes and Orange Accents

How about white dishes and only one other accent color for your tablescape? That's a big challenge for me with only one other color. But I think I have it!

What better color for the fall than orange?

I used my hurricane centerpiece that  you have seen it several times with different flowers or by itself. This time I added a wreath with orange berries and orange stems tucked in here and there for fullness and more orange. Plus an orange pumpkin on top. Orange, orange, orange.

I had to do some pushing and squeezing to get the wreath to go around the hurricane piece. I couldn't use many of the glass cylinders around the candles, too tight and the glass might break trying to force them to fit.

The plates are Pfaltzgraff Gazebo with orange napkins from Pier 1.

Thanks for stopping by - Judy.
Now in case you didn't get enough orange in my tablescape, here's one more shot of orange.

Dining With A Hoot Owl

I hope you like owls, or at least mercury glass owls, because this one is sitting right in the middle of my centerpiece.

She's sitting among the gourds, berries, nuts and leaves. She might be here to stay because most owls don't make long migrations.

Little Miss Owl probably isn't paying too much attention to anything on my table since she is doesn't eat berries or nuts. She might be looking in the yard for an insect or maybe a mouse.

I'm lighting the candle for the table, but Miss Owl won't need the light to see; her eyes are so large she can navigate in her habitat at night.

Now on to my table,

If you have been to the Dollar Tree lately, you might have seen these fall plates. I love the color (and the price). I had a great tablecloth to go with the plates (from Penney's a number of years ago).

The chargers were a gift several years ago from Pottery Barn and add a nice outdoor touch with the fall plates. The napkins are dish towels also from the Dollar Tree.

The centerpiece takes up most of the table with the addition of fall leaves, small pumpkins, acorns, and pinecones.

Wine glasses sit among the leaves.

A sunflower showing the colors of fall.

The table is full of fall colors and decor, so now it must be time to serve the food.

Thanks for stopping in and keep an eye out for the owls - Judy.
