I got lucky again today; as I was looking out the window with my camera in hand, I snapped a few pictures of the Carolina Chickadee on a branch by one of the feeders.
He is such a cutie with his oversized round head, and tiny body.
The chickadee has a black cap and bib; white cheeks; gray back, wings, and tail. It has a whitish underside with buffy sides. You can see in the collage below that it has a long narrow tail and a short beak.
This was the first chickadee I have seen at my feeders here in Kentucky. Thanks for stopping by for another day of Life in Kentucky - Judy.

You can see that the black cap extends just below the black eye, and makes the eye hard to see.
