Don't you just love the colors of Summer? Today, I'm going to share some of the colors of blooms in my gardens and colors on my porch.
I have caladiums with their big heart shaped leaves producing lots of gorgeous pink, white, and green color in their foliage. This variety is called Peppermint; I love how showy these caladiums look; they are just gorgeous.
There are three types in this pot: Peppermint, the solid white with green veins is Candidum Jr., and the ones with red centers are Bombshell Caladium.
Another colorful plant on the porch is a tuberous begonia. They come in several colors but this one produces bright red blooms.
Our porch is showing lots of patriotism with a large wreath of vining geraniums and a patriotic bow.
The Kimberly Fern makes such a bold statement. It is often known as a sword fern because of its straight and narrow upright leaves.
In a small bed about 6 foot in length and 3 feet wide, summer color is bold and beautiful with several perennials and some annuals planted. The yellow coneflower has done well in this full sun bed.
Coreopsis returned from last year and with beautiful blooms that attract butterflies and birds.
The Coreopsis is spilling out of the bed over the stepping stones and rock.
Some of my Shasta Daises are full of blooming flowers but I have a fungus on some others. These will be sprayed to try and rid them of the disease.
A small toad is keeping an eye on the flowers.
The Blue Salvia is growing nicely in another bed. Hope it fills out more as summer progresses. This is the second year for these.
I enjoy having some pink flowers in my beds. I planted these zinnias from seeds and they have just started blooming this week.
Pink and White Vinca are scattered in my beds for pops of color.
Crystal White tiny Zinnias are planted in pots. They are spreading out in the pot.
I would love to know what colors you have in your gardens - Judy.
