Who wouldn't notice the brilliant yellow color of the goldfinch and his conical bill.
I couldn't step back in the house quick enough to reach for my camera and start snapping pics. My first few pics were hardly in focus.
I hadn't taken pics of a goldfinch in a while, so I was really excited. When the finch was ready to move on, he hopped over to some Black-eyed Susan flowers.
Do you have the same excitement I do when you get a chance to photograph a bird you haven't seen for a while and or completely new bird?
Thanks for stopping by - Judy

he's so beautiful and you are so lucky to have his visit
ReplyDeleteDarn it, Judy, I'm jealous. I've been trying for a week to catch a photo of the goldfinches on the black eyed Susans, and they seem to be very camera shy. You've got great shots!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2020/08/pretty-posies.html
Wow! I love such surprise visits by birds. What a golden beauty!
ReplyDeleteYes, Judy, I share that excitement, but I don't really have the right equipment to take goo quality bird pictures. So, that is why I tend to focus on flowers (literally), and they generate that same enthusiasm. This is prime time for birds in the garden, to eat the maturing flower heads! Enjoy the rest of your week!
ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic rewards for your patience! The bird is so gorgeous against the colorful flowers.
ReplyDeleteHow terrific it is to see you at 'My Corner of the World' this week!! Thanks for linking up with us.
Wow! What a beauty!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday, Judy!
Lovely Finch. Happy Monday. I am at #11 on the linky today
ReplyDeleteMuch🐥love
Hello Judy,
ReplyDeletePretty captures of the Goldfinches and flowers. Take care, enjoy your day! Have a great week!
Judy - and thanks for linking up to Mosaic Monday!!
ReplyDeleteYes, I get excited, too. :-) These are cool shots. The handsome yellow guy looks quite happy chomping away at whatever it has found.
ReplyDeleteJudy, I do have that same excitement! It was good to get some photos. Some times all I get is a flash of yellow. Thanks for sharing and have a great week. Sylvia D.
ReplyDeleteI love that they prefer finding seeds in my garden to the seeds at the feeders....
ReplyDeleteI missed this one!!!!!!!!! Well I know why you hadn't seen them in a while. They're all over here eating me out of house and home at Finch Rest, I tell ya!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your pics - and goldfinches are my very favorites. Thanks for this. I am sorry I missed it.
