When winter arrives, the Cardinals start their daily visit.
What is thrill it is to look outside and there they are sitting on the branches of the trees off of our deck.
This one has grabbed a seed and clinching it in his mouth. Enjoys the content. Soon drops the shell.
The Northern Cardinals certainly made by day. Take care friends and remember to give the birds food and water - Judy.

Really beautiful!Great pics!
ReplyDeleteThey are always a thrill to see in the winter. I saw no males this week but had three females rummaging around the feeders.
ReplyDeleteCardinals really make us feel like winter, even in our mild climate. You got great pics! Love your cute snowmen in the banner too!
ReplyDeleteLove it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cardinals.
ReplyDeleteI love your Kentucky Cardinals (and I know that’s not the proper name, but it’s what I call them even when I see them here in Florida). I’m sure I’ve told you about my Kentucky-born and bred mother and how I grew up in the Pacific Northwest not quite believing the red birds she told us about really existed!).
ReplyDeleteJudy - I have been around Cardinals most of my life, but I am still astonished by the color of the plumage on the males! Of course, we don't have Cardinals in Montana, so I am very grateful to enjoy them vicariously through blogging buddies!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday, Judy. Thank you for joining us to make Pink Saturday special.
ReplyDeleteWe are inundated with cardinals right now, too. In fact, there is one at the feeder outside my office window right now. This post is being featured on my Pink Saturday post this week as "the one with the most clicks".♥
Such amazing photos Judy. We look forward to seeing the beautiful red against the grey days like we've had but none so far. Thanks for sharing your photos. Have a wonderful week.......
ReplyDeleteHandsome visitor to brighten your day!
