Vintage Poinsettia Tablescape

My vintage tablescape features a poinsettia tablecloth that had belonged to my mother. I am so happy to use it in my tablescape since my mother is no longer living.  The tablecloth had been in her linen closet for a long time and not being using. My father said it needed a new home and gave it to me. 

The two Fitz and Floyd Santa plates are pieces I have had a number of years, they are Father Christmas and Vintage Santa.

The table is set for a dinner for two. I am using red chargers, white dinner plates, and clear salad plates.

The two vintages water goblets are Candlewick and had also belonged to my mother.

Evening is approaching and I am ready to light the red candles.

In The Kitchen Window

 My kitchen window is decorated for Christmas with a vignette featuring my Renaissance pieces from Fitz and Floyd. I used the platter, pitcher, plate, porcelain Santa, sugar and creamer, and the oval lidded box. 

The colors of the grouping seem burgundy to me. The fruit on each of the pieces is beautifully colored with purple in the grapes and plums, deep red apples, and yellow pears. The leaves are green with highlights of gold on the veins and edges of the leaves.

The Santa is Fitz and Floyd Vintage Santa.

Willow Tree Nativity

I wanted to take time to share this Willow Tree Nativity with you. I don't have decorative accents with it, instead I like the mirror images of the pieces in the mirrored chest and the light cast by the mercury lamp.

Christmas in the Living Room

Standing in my daughter's living room is a 9 foot Christmas tree adorned with 900 white lights, silver and chartreuse ornaments. Many other glittered or shiny silver and iced pieces have been added to the tree. This is our first tree of the season to finish decorating.  Since this is their first year in this house so she wants it to look dazzling.

This is one of my favorite shots of the room with the tree reflecting in the mirror.

My grandson (who is 4 years old) added the silver star on top with a little help from his Mom.

The Chartreuse Trimmed Tree

My Christmas tree is trimmed in chartreuse and colors in it's palette. It is a 9 foot tree with 900 lights. I have been using this color for a couple of years and even though it is a bit unusual and not the traditional colors of red, I get a lot of compliments on it. The tree is Arapahoe pine.

I do have many of my Christopher Radko ornaments on the tree. I collected them for several years but most of mine are retired now.

This is one of my hand-painted glass ornaments and the leaves seem to go well with the chartreuse colors.

No tradition topper for this tree, instead lots of chartreuse glittered pieces were added. Glitter is everywhere when my husband and I decorate the tree. We end up with glitter on us too.
