Aqua and White

I am returning to my favorite color today in my tablescape. I haven't used it for a while so I am hoping you enjoy it as much as I do.
Take a look:

Yes, my favorite color is Aqua and I'm loving the aqua candles and the aqua & white napkins. Seems like white tablecloths just say "elegant" when you use them in a tablescape.

If you look over on the bread rack, you can see I have a small vignette using two white platters and a teapot and underplate and of course, a pair of white birds.
I know you have seen my birds many times, they go so well with my tablescape.

The flatware was a wedding gift to me from my Maternal Grandmother so it is very dear. I don't even know the brand or pattern, it isn't shown on the pieces. It is stainless so no polishing necessary.
The napkins are new and purchased from Cockrell's Mercantile Store. I love the color and pattern in the napkin and it is reversible. Hooray, I can use then in another aqua post sometime.

Do you love this color as much as I do, or do you have another color that is your favorite?

I only wish I had hydrangeas blooming but instead I had to use faux for the centerpiece. They really are a teal color but seem to look gray in my pictures.
The menu for tonight comes from Food.com and their Best Romantic Recipes.

  2. This is such a soothing color combo for the HEAT of SUMMER! as I write this it is 98degrees here in Connecticut, TOO HOT! I love every detail you have set...I just saw a HUG CROCHETED Doily from MAYBE the 60s in "AQUA" at a consignment shop. It was gorgeous BUT I didn't buy it. That night I could NOT STOP THINKING OF IT and went back the next day..."IT WAS GONE"!!! Serves me right!
    Have a wonderful week,

I've been wanting some goblets similiar to those.

  7. Judy, now that's my color of blue! Love the crispness of the blue and white. Thank you for always putting the extra information; such as, brands of dishes, where you bought them, so forth. I am a collector just for my own use, of glassware, and I love to look at the bottom of pieces to see where they are from. I am a new follower, come visit me! Judy too

  8. Judy: It is really beautiful. I love aqua and have it on my back porch and gazebo. I was very happy to pick up some white and aqua napkins at my daughter's breast cancer garage sale last weekend. When the pretty, but very messy, tree stops dropping stuff all over, I will post a tablescape with them. I love that little t-pot with the emblem on front. I have the creamer and sugar bowl to match. Will have to look for t-pot. Looks like we have similar tastes, not only in names...Happy Monday..Judy

  14. At his age for me ALL cake is better than sex!!! But that's a whole other story! :-) Beautiful color, and I'm always so thrilled to see how you use it. Aqua is one of those colors that is simultaneously soothing and invigorating. Love it! The reversible napkins are great! I love it when that happens....double mileage points! :-) The hydrangea stems don't look gray to me. On my screen they look almost like a deep periwinkle. And I do agree...a white table linen is a wonderful foundation for an elegant setting!!! I hope you had a good Memorial Day weekend! Take care!!!

  39. It is definitely one of my favorite colors. You did a wonderful job. I would never have known the hydrangea were not fresh from your yard. I too have some little white bird salt and peppers that were my maternal grandmother's. I don't do tablescapes often but I think I may start. Great job.
