Since many of you know how much I like the color aqua (shades of light blue), I decided to place two pieces from my Blue on Blue series on my mantel and fill in the rest with Easter decor.
My rabbit and chick plate are both Fitz and Floyd pieces. I used my large blue bowl behind the pieces hoping they would show up a little better. Using light colored pieces on my mantel can be tricky since the wall behind the mantel is painted a light color.

I love the detail in both of these pieces and the light colors. I see pinks, purples, blues, greens and light browns. The pansies and flowers are finished with a pearlized glaze for a unique effect.
I made the little white rabbits on the right years ago when I took a ceramics class with my Mom. One of the ears of the smallest rabbit has been broken and glued. I was happy to find the candled used below at Bed Bath and Beyond.
I purchased the rabbit on wheels below at Nell Hill's in Kansas City the first year the store opened and he really does roll!
I wanted to give you a close up shot of the chick plate so you could take in all its detail.
The wreath does have many colors of Spring flowers and is light and airy. I bought it a few years ago at the Yankee Peddler's shop in Osage Beach, MO.
