Gold and Silver Tablescape

Gold and silver are beautiful colors and so today I have been working on a tablescape for my dining room with these two colors in mind.

While I was putting away some Christmas decor, I saw a bag with all of the silver and gold flowers and stem pieces I have included. So nothing is new in my tablescape. The hurricanes have been around my house for many years but have never been on my dining room table. They have been through three house moves and are lucky to have not been broken.

Sorry I don't have fine China on the table, my house is on the market to sell (another move for us, hopefully, our last), so I have packed most of my dishes and all of my nice glassware so I am just using some things that haven't been packed. Hope my house sells soon!!

My tablescape began by pressing a tablecloth and adding a shiny table runner. Since I was using three hurricanes, I wanted to give the middle one some height so added a cake plate stand. There are some pretty glass balls on the corners of the runner, hope you can see a couple of them.

Thanks for stopping by to see my silver and gold tablescape - Judy.

  5. Hi Judy,
what a lovely tablescape. Your centerpc. is just beautiful, great idea putting the cake plate under the hurricane lantern to give it height. Those hurricane lanterns are very pretty.
Hope your home sells quickly, must be hard waiting and not knowing when it will sell. You will sure be ready to have your dishes back once it happens.
Nice to meet you here in blogland.
    Blessings, Nellie

  6. This is a beautiful tablescape! Great idea to raise the center hurricane--adds a lot more interest. I packed a lot of my china and other dishes a couple of years ago, thinking we were going to move. We ended up taking the house off the market, but my things are still packed (I keep thinking we ARE going to move!)...I so miss my dishes, so I understand how you feel. Good luck selling. ~Zuni

  7. No need to apologize for anything on that beautiful table! Your tablescape is stunning, I love it. It is just so pleasing to look at. I love white and golden Christmas tables. I alternate every other year from white/gold to scarlet/everygreen. The children's table is always bright santa red and grass green.

Beautiful table - and my most sincere wishes for a fast home sale....it is so difficult to go all through that.

My husband always laughs and said there is NO WAY we are every moving, so just bury him in the backyard when his time is up, because he isn't goin. Haha.
