Home Tour - Decorating with Black and White Buffalo Plaid

Welcome to our home, I was ready for a little change for my Christmas 2019 decorating.

My new look for this year is black and white buffalo plaid with punches of red. How about a big bow on the staircase as you enter the front door.

The staircase is lined with greenery, lights, and bows. The quilt at the top of the stairs is a Christmas gift for one of my grandsons.

The sideboard is decked with a embroidered table runner, Bird Girl, and a Peggy Karr reindeer plate.

Bird Girl is standing on the sideboard table all dressed for Christmas adorned with ribbons, a crown, and greenery around her waist. My Bird Girl statue has been with us for a number of years and survived several moves from city to city and house to house. She is standing on a tablerunner that I embroidered for the season.

A Peggy Karr Glass reindeer also has a spot on the sideboard. I love the bright colors in this 11 inch plate.

Our living room and kitchen are open concept with the two rooms flowing together.

Black and white check on the living room mantel features big bows of multiple ribbons on lanterns filled with red ornaments and topped with red cardinals.

Our tree is trimmed with Black and white buffalo plaid ribbons with lots of red. Favorite ornaments (old and new) fill the branches.

With my love of birds, you can see lots of cardinals and chickadees plus one small Goldfinch on the tree.

The entry to the dining room.

Our dining room features buffalo plaid too. I'll give you a peek in there but will show it entirely in another post.

Thanks for stopping by. I'll share some more buffalo plaid soon - Judy.
