It’s almost here! Yes the day for
sweethearts is this week, February 14,
To My Love seems like an
appropriate title for my Valentine vignette. Take a look:
Marty over at A Stroll Thru Life is having a cloche party and I didn't want to miss out on her party so I used a small cloche on my Valentine cake stand.
Now you can see the inspiration for my post title. The little heart box has "To My Love" stamped on the cover.
No sweeter way to say "I love you" to your sweetheart. The cloche is resting on a Red Hearts Pedestal cake stand by Bordallo Pinheiro, also seen here.
Three heart shaped ceramic boxes surround the cake stand and could be filled will candy or small gifts for your sweetheart.
The red cloth has vines and small birds which are mimicked by the two white "love birds" sitting nearby.
Hearts are a traditional symbol for Valentine's Day so I am display my Peggy Karr Valentine plate in the lamp.
A candle can represent love which can light your sweetheart's world. I am lighting three candles for my love. Two red candles are glowing on silver candlesticks and one in a lantern topped with Valentine ribbons.
The silver tray was added to the vignette as a backdrop. You can see the cloche reflecting in the tray.
Now I am off to an early evening dinner with my sweetheart since he will be gone on Thursday. He has been "My Love" for over 40 years.

Oh this is so pretty. I love your heart and nest in the cloche and the beautiful heart boxes around it. What a beautiful vignette. Thanks so much for joining the party. So lovely. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteDarling sweet cloche for your Valentine! Very creative vignette.
ReplyDeleteWonderful!! I love that fabric...oh I love it all!! Happy Monday!!
ReplyDeleteHi Judy. Your Valentine vignette is so special. What a great idea your lamp is to hold a plate. You can change it so often. I didn't do much for Valentine's in the way of decorating except sprinkle some glass hearts across the table. I think I'll make my Valentine a special dinner. Thank you for your sweet and kind comments to me..Happy Monday..Judy
ReplyDeleteYour Valentine's goodies are all very pretty. I have to tell you though, I saw on your sidebar that you've been married 41 years. That's wonderfully romantic. :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute Judy! That heart under the cloche with that "To My Love" is precious! Those are cute candy boxes...great vignette! Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteLove all the red. The cakestand and the angel is so sweet. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJudy,
ReplyDeleteI adore your sweet Valentine inside your cloche!!! The cherub behind the cloche is exquisite!!! Being married to your High School Sweetheart is one of the greatest blessing we both can know!!! Growing up and in love with one another...knowing each other so very well...and still being filled with the element of surprise!!!
Speaking of surprises...in those three hearts, I'd put one word in each box for the phrase...I Love You!
Thanks for sharing this romantic cloche with us!
Fondly,
Pat
So pretty and perfect for Valentine's Day! The cloche is perfect with the heart.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Donna
Judy - this is such a sweet post. I am crazy about that lamp. I love Peggy Karr glass and I have never seen one of those - wow! You did a beautiful job with the entire vignette! I totally missed that Marty was having a cloche party today, so I had nothing to post. Just as well, I did not have to compete with you - hahahaha!!
ReplyDeleteSo,so lovely. I do love anything under a cloche. However, now I know for sure that I have fallen behind in decorating for Valentines.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the peek ~ Mary
Very pretty, Judy! That image you used in your cloche display is one of my favorite for Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteJudy everything is so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's day! Thanks for stopping by my blog!!
A beautiful vignette. Love the lamp base that displays a dish. That's unique. xo
ReplyDeleteI love your cloche and display so very much. You did a wonderful job of explaining each piece and what they represent. This post is heart warming. It is very endearing that you have known your husband since high school. I've known my husband since kindergarten but of course only started dating our junior year in high school. We were married after college...it's so nice to find others who have a long history with their significant other...it's not all that common anymore. Hope you have a wonderful time with your love.

ReplyDeleteLove the cloche Judy...you created such a beautiful vignette!....Happy Valentine's Day with the love of your life...!
ReplyDeleteSweet Mister and I are celebrating our 44 years of Valentines a night early, too. He has to have surgery on his hand tomorrow. We'll be together all day, but it won't exactly be a celebration. Love, your Valentine goodies. That lamp is quite cool! Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely vignette! I love the cloche and the red cake stand! I also love those red candle holders and the lantern with the beautiful Valentine's ribbons up top! So nice! =D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful vignette, Judy.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!
Gorgeous vignette Judy. I love all of your elements, especially the plate.
ReplyDeleteThe cake stand, the lantern make quite the statement. Happy Valentine's to you.
Judy,
ReplyDeleteThat is REALLY well done - such a good idea to put the silver tray as a back drop, finishes it perfectly.
You have such a talented eye for design, love your blog.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs.
Sweet post, Judy. Hope you and your sweetheart enjoyed a special time together.
ReplyDeleteJudy, it all looks lovely. We also celebrated a day early and after 40 plus years of marriage and 3 years of dating! We've only just begun! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Judy,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty Valentine's vignette! I love the sweet little box nesting inside the cloche. :) The three ceramic boxes are charming, and I LOVE that heart plate displayed in your lamp! It's so unique -- I've never seen anything like it. I think using the silver tray in the background is a great idea. Silver always adds a touch of elegance and class. :)
Visiting from Seasonal Sundays -- have a wonderful weekend.

Aaarrrgghhhh!!!! I am subscribed to you by email. Does that mean that when you do a post that I am supposed to get an email notification of it? I don't, and it's drivin' me nuts!!! I end up missing stuff. I think it has something to do with my WordPress maybe. I don't know. It's so much easier when I get those email notifications because my old brain isn't what it used to be. (No comments, missy!) Anyway....I'm like a week late, but I wanted to tell you just how pretty this is!!! I really like the candles and what they represent!!! You put a lot of thought into this...and love!!! I hope you guys enjoyed your evening out! I'm going to figure out why I'm not getting my email notifications!!!
