Bird Cage Lantern

I recreated my fall bird cage lantern again this year and thought I should show how easy it was to put together.

My lantern is one I have had for several years. It started as a Halloween lanterns housing a candle but has had a new purpose for a couple of years. I sprayed it with black spray paint a couple years ago and really need to spray it again but you know how time goes.

I added a branch or so of foliage . . .

Then added a real bird’s next from my Miss Robin post last summer. The nest was a little wet from a rain but soon dried out.

More foliage was added . . .

and a cute little bird to sit on a branch.

How easy was that?

Fall Festival

We went to the Fall Festival in Liberty, MO, last weekend and it was such a fabulous day. There were so many booths with items for sale, it was hard to decide what to buy. In addition to things like apple butter, home-made banana bread, there were displays of Fall mums and pumpkins for sale.

There were so many beautiful bright orange pumpkins, some smooth, some with knots, and some were painted.

Love the white pumpkins and the gourds.

There were Fall foliage pieces and arrangements.

We had such a fun day at the festival. Face painting was a hit with one of my grandsons.

Fall on the Rack

I have been working on Fall throughout my house lately and needed to bring some Fall into the kitchen. My breadrack is one of my favorite pieces to add seasonal pieces. So take a look:

The little birds work perfect with my Fall pieces. Their cream color with brown accents blend so well with my pumpkin pieces.

I made the little Fall pumpkin and tag from cardstock paper. The idea came from Pinterest. I plan to make several more to use in a tablescape as soon as I get a little time.

I didn't buy a new wreath for the breadrack but instead used my original green wreath and simply added some fall pieces. Cheap and easy!!

Fall Table Vignette

My dining room table needed a little Fall update. The vignette started with a silky bronze colored table runner, then a French tray was added to hold all the Fall elements.
