Holiday Home Tour on Legacy Lane - the guest rooms and laundry

I am continuing the home tour of my friend, JoAnn from Jo on Legacy LaneJo was invited to have her home on the annual Holiday Tour of Homes hosted by the Kappa Department of Murray Woman's Club in Murray, KY. I am featuring her home since she has had zero time to create any posts for her blog.

Today, I am spotlighting the guest rooms and laundry.  Sit back and enjoy!

JoAnn made the blue pillows on the bed and in the chair. The walls are painted Berkshire Beige.

The lamp below is a hand-blown glass purchased from Lulu's Home Trends in Murray, KY. The two picture are from there too.

JoAnn has another tabletop tree in this room. Love her colors of the turquoise blues and silver.

Along with the blues and silver, this tree has beautiful butterflies

Take a close look at this gorgeous silver cabinet. JoAnn recently had it painted at Lulu's Home Trends. It was once an oak cabinet.

A Santos doll sits on the cabinet below the tv.

The guest bath.

Another guest room is for her granddaughter to spend the night. This room is done in a Paris theme. Two of the pillows on the bed are frenchy fabric and JoAnn made all the pillows.

Here you can get a glimpse of the pink ceiling. The walls are painted Galveston Grey. Pink ornaments and silver high heel shoes are along the garland.

This tree has Eiffel towers, silver purses, vintage postcards and pink ornaments.

You will remember that I have mentioned that JoAnn sews so she does have a sewing room. She has done some decorating in this room too and has the cuties tree decorated in a sewing theme.

Her tree has spools of thread and a tape measure as ornaments and garland. She also made a Christmas wall handing. The garland over the large mirror in the room has another tape measure woven in plus you can see the clear ornament filled with buttons.

The last area I am sharing is her laundry. It is part of a long hallway heading to the garage at one end and the master bedroom at the other.

All is certainly decorated and beautiful at Jo and Bill's home on Legacy Lane. I have certainly enjoyed sharing this tour with you.

  1. Oh my Judy, this bedroom is gorgeous, elegant even and very neat, I love the festive décor. The bathroom is great and the laundry room decorations are adorable. I should have add some blintz to mine...oh well.
    Thanks for sharing this loveliness.

  3. JoAnn has really got it goin' on in the stylish decor department!!! I mean she REALLY has a great eye! I LOVE that silver cabinet!!! It changes the whole dynamic in the bedroom! And I love it that she carefully considered each room as an entity unto itself as she went about decorating for Christmas. Each room has its own personal style going on, and they are all terrific! Her sewing room tree is just SO cool!!! I am definitely going to pin that for next year. I hear tell that Ramon's mother was an excellent seamstress. She died when he was only 19, so I never got to meet her. I recently put together a gallery wall in our home library and included a shadow box depicting the lives of each of our deceased parents (both of his, my Dad). I said that next year when I'm feeling better and have this back surgery behind me that I wanted to do an individual small tree for each of them that sits near their shadow box. Something similar to JoAnn's magnificent creation will be perfect to honor his Ramon's Mother!!!

JoAnn was even savvy enough to deck the long hallway AND the laundry room. High five, JoAnn!!!

Thank you, Judy, for sharing all of the beauty that is JoAnn and Bill's gorgeous home decked out for the Christmas holiday season. It has been a lovely and entertaining as well as educational trip!!!

    Merry Christmas!!!
