New Year's Tablescape - from the archives

I'm in Illinois visiting my Dad so I am sharing my New Year's tablescape from my archives. The first one is my last year's but I still love it. Take a look

I used Lenox Holiday Nouveau Gold salad plates placed on Lenox Eternal China dinner plates.

The napkins are also the Lenox Holiday Nouveau pattern with Lenox Eternal Gold flatware. I love the gold trim on the plates and the flatware. Such a beautiful holiday look this brings to the table. These pieces are sitting on Lenox placemats which have such a delicate feel.

The glassware for the table features clear Fostoria goblets and amber wine glasses. I choose the Fostoria because it was my Mom's favorite and the amber wine glasses for their color, hoping to accent the gold rim on the China and flatware. What do you think?

The centerpiece was created using winter white glittered magnolias, gold and silver glittered leaves, white candles in crystal candlesticks, gold and silver stemmed pieces, plus two types of pine cones.

Additional candlesticks are added to each end of the centerpiece for a little more beauty and elegance.

My centerpiece theme was carried to my sideboard with the magnolias, pine cones and silver stems. Two white candles in Lenox candlesticks are reflecting in the silver platter. Two pillar candles are used with silver candle holders.

My New Year's tablescape in 2012 was similar. I used the same magnolias but different hurricanes and candles. The ones below are very old and have been through many of our moves.

The dishes I used in 2012 were not china but stoneware so not the elegant look as in 2013.

Right now all of our belongings are in storage until we purchase a new home. I am having my other knee replaced in February so we can't possible find a new house and move before February. It will probably be Spring before we make a move. Thanks goodness our daughter has room for us.

Thanks for always stopping by my blog and leaving such kind messages. I hope 2015 brings you peace and happiness - Judy.

Note: See you soon when I return from my visit to Illinois.

  4. I'm a huge fan of this Lenox "line"--I have Eternal for year-round (looks like you might too!), and Holiday for Christmas, and I've always loved the plaid patterns. All that to say I love your table! Besides the best wishes for 2015 I'm adding specific wishes for a successful surgery and quick recovery, and for finding the home that's meant for you, Judy!

  10. What a stunning tablescape!

I don't think I have seen that pretty salad plate by Lenox before. It is SO lovely. Every detail on this table is. I love the linens, too. I am glad you shared this because it is really very beautiful.

I shared my table in Lenox Everyday Winter Greetings which is DISCONTINUED. I can't believe it! I got that instead of Spode Christmas Tree (which was my mother's pattern) because I like to have an everyday Christmas pattern in addition to my fine china, but waaaaa! I know I can find it on Replacements and eBay, but they want a fortune. I long for the days you could get a plate for less than $20 at the outlet mall!

Here is wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year!
