Dining on the Porch With Red, White, and Blue

Today, I'm using a small table on my porch that is set with red, white and blue.

With Independence Day just around the corner, this Avon Liberty Bell Bicentennial Plate is front and center.

The Liberty Bell Plate is sitting on a Staffordshire Liberty Blue dinner plate which I'll feature in another patriotic post.

The Paula Dean white plate has a pretty design and works with the stack of blue and white dishes.

Do you see the small cross-stitched American Flag  design on the right side of the table?  I moved the stemmed goblet so you could see it. This special gift was made by a friend years ago; I am so thankful to have it especially since she told me she isn't doing cross stitch anymore because her eye sights isn't as good as it used to be.

The cross-stitch design and the flag coaster add color and bits of patriotism for this red, white, and blue table.

Thanks for stopping by to see my Red, White, and Blue table on the porch - Judy.

  10. Judy, what a lovely table with the Liberty Bell Plate and the Staffordshire Liberty Blue plate. Cute centerpiece as well. How special to display this Patriotic cross stitch your friend made. It is tedious work but a treasure to admire. Thank you for sharing at Love Your Creativity.

  11. I have a collection of the Liberty Blue dishes, but have never seen that complimentary top plate before. Love it! I lived in Philly during the bicentennial and these dishes have special meaning to me. Plus, the guy I married is a descendant from an PA militia officer, quartermaster at Valley Forge and a spy for Washington. He is even named in the Continental Congress papers just a week after declaring independence.

  14. Judy - I had not looked ahead, and therefore did not realize you linking twice this week. How blessed we are! I simply can't choose which tableau I like best, so I won't! That cross-stitch is very special - I am a big stitcher, and the pattern is very effective in making it appear that the flag is waving. I will have to see if I can find the pattern.

  16. I lean more towards blue than red when it comes to the 4th of July so I think your tablescape is stunning! The centerpiece ties it all together--beautiful job!
