Some of my favorite birds have visited recently. The Rose-breasted Grosbeak only visits my feeders in April and May. It's always exciting when the male and female return.
They enjoy eating safflower seeds at the feeders.
Another sweet bird that visits during the spring is the Indigo Bunting.
The Northern Cardinal is another favorite and he visits year round. I never tire of his visits.
The Goldfinch was the very first bird I started feeding back in the late 80's. Who wouldn't be attracted to their brilliant color.

Judy - so wonderful, each and every one. As you might guess from my post this week, I am also a BIG grosbeak fan. Each type of grosbeak is so colorful and handsome … As I have written before, I do miss my Cardinals and I am glad to get to see them through you. Thanks for linking this perky post to Mosaic Monday!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful birds, Judy. We don't have feeders in our yard, but we do have lots of birds. We hea their songs all day long when we are out on our screened in porch. Happy June!

ReplyDeletehow wonderful to see so many beautiful birds and to keep track of their migrating habits!! i don't see the grosbeak or the indigo bunting but i am lucky to see the cardinals and the goldfinches. the goldfinches are our state bird!!

Your bird photos are beautiful. I live in mid Missouri and we get the same springs visitors if we are lucky. One thing tho, I think the blue bird is blue grosbeck...a cousin of the beautiful rose breasted. We had one visit us last year for the first time. Indigo buntings are small and turquoise iresident. You are an excellent photographer.
