At the Feeders and in the Trees - Week 27

I have been particularly interested in the Rose-breasted Grosbeaks this week.

They seem to spend the most time at the feeders with safflower seeds.

The female Rose-breasted Grosbeak is visiting daily too. She has an obvious white eyebrow.

She is a heavily streaked brown and white bird.

I was happy to get a pic of both of them at the feeder.

I did snap a couple of pics of the male starting to take flight.

It's great seeing the hummingbirds each day at the feeders and in the trees.

The Goldfinches are eating the nyjer food at the feeders.

  4. Your Rose Breasted Grosbeaks are so beautiful. Our grosbeaks out here in California are orange and black, not nearly as pretty (to me) as the rose ones.

  5. strange that the female grosbeak are so different from the male. Most timed they have teh same pattern but different colors :)

  11. Hey sweetie! Oh my goodness, you take the BEST shots of birds - I have surely missed being in blogdom and seeing such beauty. Thanks so much for sharing! I haven't even gotten the hummingbird feeders out yet - yikes - haven't set myself up as a feeding source, not good.

WELL, I do hope they come back and that I am not too late!

    Big hugs. ♥
