Bradford Pears

The Bradford Pear Trees are flowering in our area. They are beautiful to see but some people think they are a stinky Tree when flowering. They do have a strong fragrance and the bees love it.

The tree seem to be fragile and easily damaged by storms. I alway feel so bad when you see them after a storm with broken limbs or even split down the middle.

Have you had experiences with Bradford Pears that you can share?

  2. I love the Bradford pears and they are at their best right now. A house down the street has a row of them and I love to walk beneath them, catch their aroma and an occasional blossom falling on my head.

  3. I love Bradford pears, but when our boys were young they always complained about their scent, so I know what you mean. It never bothered me, I think because they're so lovely. Yours are gorgeous! ~Zuni

  4. They are beautiful when in bloom! Your photos are so pretty. We have them lining the side of our front yard and I just love when they pop out in early Spring! Sure wish they smelled better, a little "stinky"! :)
Thanks sooo much for sharing at Amaze Me Monday!!
    Blessings,
