Have you ever been to a crawfish boil? Well, come on over to the crawfish boil at the lake.
Friends on the dock hosted a crawfish boil and it was awesome. We were delighted to attend. Take a look and enjoy the boil!
Meet Veteran Mike, the owner of Crawfish Willy's. Mike says he takes great pride in hand selecting only the best crawfish, alligator products, frog legs and shrimp which is straight from the southern docks of Louisiana. You can find Mike on Facebook, just search for Crawfish Willy's.
Mike brings in his set up and cooks the food right on the dock at Cypress Springs. He just has to "boil up" some crawfish, corn cobs, potatoes, sausages and seasonings. I'm sure Mike "turns-up" the flavor with delicious add-ins.
All this deliciousness and more goes into the crawfish boil. Mike travels around the area for his boils. I am not affiliated with Crawfish Willy's but just want to see him be successful.
The tables were decorated in a Mardi Gras theme with Mardi Gras colors of purple, green and gold.
That my hubby filling his plate at the boil. He absolutely loved the food.
Who could resist a plate full of crawfish, corn on the cob, potatoes, and sausages? This guy has his plate filled to the brim and may go back for seconds. I didn't know him, but he was kind enough to let me snap his pic.
Who knows, you might want to try your hand at throwing a crawfish boil! It might look a little overwhelming, but you can handle it.

ReplyDeleteWe do shrimp boils at the beach, so much fun and a great way to feed a large group. Crawfish Willy has a great business idea going, I bet he'll do really well! I love his Mardi Gras set up!

Eating with friends on the dock sounds like heaven. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI must admit they've never looked all that intriguing to me. I guess I'm a bit of a priss.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2022/07/a-few-things-blooming-around-homeplace.html
I don't eat them either, but the rest of the group loved them.
DeleteOh wow. I saw this on a tv show....In Singapore they do this crab in the bag that they then tip onto the table (there's paper down) and you eat off that. It's fabulous! #WWOAT
ReplyDeleteI've eaten crawfish in New orleans and enjoyed them so I'd love to do this. They taste a lot like shrimp to me, just a bit crewier.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a fun time.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE that! I've had shrimp boil before -- a favorite -- but with crawfish, new for me. And it all looks like you are having such a grand time. Can't beat that!
ReplyDeleteWe have eaten them on our travels in Louisiana but never experienced the whole shebang of a crawfish boil. It looks amazingly fun.
