At the Feeders and in the Trees #42

I hope everyone is remembering to feed the birds. Their food source is low and it sure is cold outside.

A Carolina Wren gave me an interesting pic the other day. You never know when that unusual shot is going to come. It's not a perfect pic, but I was happy to get it. Take a look:

I've been checking the feeders several times a day to make sure there is continuous food for the birds.

Keeping them all happy and fed. Oh, to just get a seed.

Chickadee and Cardinal

Purple Finch

Northern Cardinal

Chickadee

the Dark-eyed Junco (notice those pink legs and pink beak)

The female Cardinal, isn't she stunning!

Reaching in for seeds (now that's really sticking your neck out).

Success with a seed in their mouths.

A Balancing Act

Beauty, their brilliant color!

Thanks for stopping by - Judy.

  4. Judy - I miss Cardinals so much, and I agree with you that the plumage on the female is spectacular! I am keeping my feeders full; when I go from the garage to the house, the birds fly up to me to let me know if they are empty!!!

  12. Hey, Judy! How can I get in touch with you? A friend saw a picture of a china pattern she loved and she sent it to me thinking I might know what it was. (It seems I have quite a reputation for china hoarding - I mean collecting. 😂 Anyway - I saw your blog name on the pic and I tried to find it here, but with no success. It seems to be an Easter post. I’d love to share the photo to confirm if it is in your collection and get the pattern and maker for her. Thanks!
