Today, I am thankful for the flowers blooming in my gardens. They make my heart just sing when I see them blooming.
I'm thrilled these orange daylilies bloomed. Last year I ordered several orange daylilies to plant and this year they are just beautiful.
I little pink zinnia.
Do you see the swallowtail butterfly on the purple coneflowers?

ReplyDeleteMuch🌸love
Gorgeous flowers! Zinnias are so pretty. This year I got as far as buying the seeds. Maybe next year, I'll put them in the ground. :-)
ReplyDeleteJudy, you have some beautiful flowers! I think you asked how I froze my squash and I don't think I told you. So, here goes....I prefer younger squash that aren't too seedy in the middle. I cute them how I like. Sometimes in cubes, sometimes in long quarters. Then, I place a piece of parchment on a tray and place the squash on it, not touching each other. I put this tray in the freezer during the day and take it out at supper, in which time it is typically frozen. I bag it up and can take it out as needed, since each piece is frozen individually. I hope this helps.
ReplyDeleteWOW! What gorgeous pics of your stunning garden flowers. The colors are eye popping!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you are staying safe and well, Judy, and enjoying your gorgeous outdoor gardens and creatures great and small.
Beautiful! We have sunflowers and zinnias! So pretty to look at!

Judy - gorgeous blooms! I have a soft spot in my heart for zinnias since my Mom always had some in her garden during my childhood. I think I read somewhere that they are good to have in your garden to attract "bad" bugs such as aphids and Japanese beetles, keeping them away from more important plants! Thanks so much for linking to Mosaic Monday!
ReplyDeleteThese are just beautiful and I understand why you find such joy in them. Thanks for sharing this week at #HomeMattersParty
ReplyDeleteFlowers make my heart sing too! Maybe not quite as many verses as you have, because now I can’t take credit for the beauty ...I no longer garden myself, but deeply admire other people’s. Yours are gorgeous ... and yes, I see the butterfly .
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. My mother used to have a time with Japanese beetles but bought some type of bag from Lowes and problem solved.

ReplyDeleteSuch enticing colours, your blooms are stunning. Shame about the beetles though, thank you for brightening up a gloomy grey day in England.
