At the Feeders and in the Trees - Week 33

I'm paying close attention to my feeders today because look who is visiting:

Yes, it is a warbler!

It is so exciting when they migrate through my area of western Kentucky.

I don't get many so this made the visit to my feeders very rewarding.

How about you, do you see warblers where you live?

Very soon, the hummingbirds will leave our area for their journey.

I filled my feeders over the weekend. Knowing they will soon be gone, I wanted to offer them plenty to drink before they migrate. They have been rewarding me today.

I had a Carolina Wren stop by the feeders:

Thanks for stopping by. Happy birding - Judy.

  1. Still have hummers here in central Iowa. I get real excited over warblers, many just pass through. The wrens often inhabit my bluebird houses

  3. Now I wonder if we have had warblers in the garden, there are several of them in Europe so it would not be impossible, but I am not sure if I would be able to ID them if they appeared!!! Wish we had humming birds though they are such a pleasure to watch. We were in Nevis last Nov/December and I so enjoyed the birds there. Have a good day, Diane

  4. I have been concerned that I have 3 Hummingbirds still visiting my feeders after all the others went south, but if you still have some in Kentucky... Maybe when yours leave they can stop here and get my three to go with them! I probably had 25 Hummingbirds during the Summer. And now they are all gone except those three.
Hope you are having a good week!

  5. I don't think we've had warblers, I would remember their color. We still have the Hummingbirds fighting at the feeder! I expect to miss them any day. Hope you are enjoying some fall temps now. We are still hot! Have a wonderful weekend.......
