We received snow last night here in Western Kentucky and the birds are in a feeding frenzy. I've been taking pics of them for a couple of hours.
The birds look so beautiful in the snow, especially the female cardinals.

ReplyDeleteSo THAT:S where all my birds went. Seriously Judy, I haven't seen a goldfinch in months. I used to have millions of them, and ever since early winter they all but disappeared....and it is NOT because we EVER let the feeder go long being empty. I have been wondering about predators - I am just sick about it.

ReplyDeleteI think female cardinals are every bit as lovely as their male counterparts -- in such a soft understated way with just that tinge of color. We used to see goldfinch all the tme when we lived in Oregon -- not here in Florida though. At least not in this part. Beautiful photos -- it is good of you to provide them food in that weathr!
