Ice Cream Sundae Topped With Fresh Berries

We've had a few days of a tiny bit cooler weather. Sitting on the deck has been tolerable and this evening, we enjoyed an ice cream sundae topped with fresh fruit.

These darling purple glasses were a gift from my friend, Phyllis. They belonged to her Mom and she thought I could use them in a blog post.  They reminded me of ice cream sundae glasses that were used at a local soda fountain shop when I was growing up.

I'm so happy Phyllis thought of me and send them my way. Thank you Phyllis

Did you notice the sweet little ice bucket that came with the glasses? I'm using it as a vase for the centerpiece of fresh flowers.

The ice cream did start to melt quickly.

We ate fast and enjoyed every bite. You can see the moisture forming on the glass.

If you sit quietly on the deck, you can watch the hummingbirds darting back and forth. I started making my own nectar and they are at my feeders all day.

Thanks for stopping by for another day of Life in Kentucky - Judy.

  1. Ahhh, this looks like summer at it's finest! Love the purple ice cream sundae glasses and the delicious dessert you've created with them. So nice of your friend to give them to you. Smart of you to think of using the ice bucket as a vase for those lovely flowers. Your photos are wonderful and capture the feeling of having ice cream on a summer day perfectly!
