Get Well Breakfast

I have been helping my daughter and her family for the past few days while she recovers from an appendectomy.  She is doing good, but moving a little slow and can't lift anything heavier than 10 pounds. Well, you know a four year old and a nineteen month old weigh more than  10 pounds so Grandma has been needed.

We are getting ready for breakfast and I have a Get Well Breakfast planned. Take a look:
I really haven't had time for tablescaping this week but  when this floral arrangement came, I thought it would make a beautiful centerpiece for a tablescape.

I had a little help, as I set the table for breakfast, from my 20 month old grandson, who is a climber. His little smile just makes my heart sing.
I choose the tablecloth because of the orange Gerber Daisies in the arrangement. It seemed to really make the daisies pop. The napkins are navy blue which I like against the tablecloth. The napkins and great little napkin rings came from Pier 1.

On our breakfast menu is:

Breakfast Fruit Pizza
Banana Nut Muffins
Watermelon
Blueberries
Red Grapes
Hot Oatmeal

The dishes are yellow Fiestaware and the flatware is Lenox Eternal.

Thanks for stopping by to see my Get Well Breakfast tablescape- Judy.

  4. Judy - first, I hope that your daughter is feeling much better. Second, your grandson looks so much like you - he is a doll. Third, the floral arrangement is wonderful - I have never received one that was that interesting. Wonderful job with the table and being such a great mom and grandmother!! Your family is very fortunate!

  6. Gee whiz, Judy...this is really terrific!!!! I can understand why you would have precious little time to tablescape while taking care of your ailing daughter and with little ones underfoot, but this is fantastic! It's attention to detail and the scrumptious breakfast menu belie the fact that you are up to your elbows!!! I especially like that you used that great orange tablecloth!!!!!!! You've just proven once again that putting together a nice tablescape can happen under even the most harried of circumstances!!! I hope your daughter is feeling 100% again soon!

  29. This is completely lovely! I was drawn in immediately by the centerpiece and agree that it just begged for a table to go along with it. Love your choices for a place setting, and my favorite part (besides the centerpiece) is the festive flower on the napkin rings.

I need to be on the lookout for some cuter napkin rings. They can just make a table.
