Here I go again with my favorite color - aqua but this time I am adding some orange in the mix. Please follow along, I make a few changes towards the end for this tablescape. It didn't start out to be an Easter tablescape but see what happens.
Take a look:
I bought the aqua chargers a few months ago at TJ Maxx and was thrilled to find them.
The darker aqua stemware comes from a February post called "Is It Aqua or Turquoise." I thought the stemware would go perfect with this table sitting too.
The triple orange flower dish was sitting on the same table with the platter so I knew it was a go too.
My birthday was last week and I had a little birthday money so I went on a shopping trip. I stopped in some of my favorite stores and had black plates on my mind and just couldn't find what I was looking for. The last place I stopped in was TJ Maxx, where I walked to the back of the store where the dishes are located, and there sitting on display where these light blue dishes with an orange, red and yellow design.
I always enjoy decorating my bread rack with a few pieces to go with my tablescape; I moved my two aqua canisters from the counter to the rack and had a reddish orangey vase that I sat on the top shelf.
There is tons of sunlight pouring in my kitchen windows, I have closed every blind, but there is another row of smaller windows above those so this shot has direct sun on the right side of the table. I do love the sunlight in my kitchen so I can't complain.
Ok change of plans!
I have now decided that I like this tablescape in my kitchen well enough that I am going to use it for an Easter lunch on the Saturday before Easter Sunday. So that means I need to add some Easter pieces to the table. Gone with the orange dish and on with rabbits.
These two rabbits are Fitz and Floyd from the Spotted Bunny collection. Since I have orange napkins and the centerpiece platter with so much orange, I think these bunnies can hop right on the table.
The sun is setting and I am officially done with this tablescape, now an Easter Tablescape.
Thanks for stopping by - Judy
