Spring to Easter Tablescape in Just A Hop

Do you remember this Spring tablescape I created a short time ago?

Since I did use my favorite colors, I thought I could transform this tablescape into a Easter tablescape in just a hop or two.

How easy to just add a rabbit candle holder and an egg (no candle needed)  and some bright green grass to each of the cabbage bowls.

How cute and easy was that?

Remember my centerpiece - a white pitcher filled with ranicculas sitting on a small pizza platter?

Just add some green Easter grass. I kept the name tags, it was a fun idea.

Now for the bread rack . . . let's add some Easter.

Rabbits, eggs, grass and flowers

Oh but wait, I found these iced Easter cookies again this year at Big Lots. I know, who would think that Big Lots would have such cute cookies. Go figure!! Really, they have lots of Easter candy too.

They come wrapped and packaged individually and are so "quack, quack or cheap, cheap".

I had these cute little ducks sitting on the side of the rack  . . .

but I'm moving them to the front and center.

Wow, that was pretty simple and didn't take long at all!

Thanks for stopping by to see how easy it is to take a Spring Tablescape and make it ready for Easter in just a hop - Judy

Spring and Easter Vignettes

I have my dining room table centerpiece ready for Spring. A hurricane glass candle holder that I purchased years and years ago (on sale) surrounded by wreaths.

I love the magnolia blossoms of the wreath especially the berries.

Did you know the center cone-like part of the blossom is called a receptacle?

The stamens and pistils are attached to the receptacle

There are actually two wreaths surrounding the hurricane. The magnolia wreath is easy to see but there is an inner wreath of gardenias. They were a favorite of mine years ago and I had a few live gardenias plants. I wasn't very good at caring for them, they are susceptible to several diseases and pests. They do have such a sweet smell.

Here are pics of my dining room table from the past.

Spring Mantel with an Added Element

I've been working on my Spring Mantel and have a couple of versions to show you. Here's the first version.

The left end of the mantel stays the same in both versions. I used a stemmed hurricane with an aqua candle, my aqua vase, a small floral arrangement of pinks and whites, and a white bird. I think I am happy with the end side of the mantel.

Now to the right end. I am thinking it doesn't have enough color or pop. My walls are an off white and the mantel is white so not much color going on.

I do have an inexpensive cheap small springy wreath that I have been carrying around in my SUV for a few weeks. I purchased it at Goodwill for $2.00 with no plans how to use it but thought the colors could easily work with something Spring.

I think I like the balance at each end a little better now. Take a look and see what you think.

What do you think? Would you use  the small wreath on the mantel even though I have a larger wreath handing over the mantel?

Version 2

Happy Spring everyone - Judy.

My Favorite Colors for A Spring Tablescape

Do you have favorite colors to use for a Spring tablescape?

Yes, I do love green and white for Spring, it's always so crisp, so springy. But my very, very favorite combinations of color always include . .

You guessed it, aqua or turquoise! I am always drawn to these gorgeous colors, whether it is a soft pale aqua or a bold beautiful turquoise, it always catches my eye and draws me in. Does this happen to you when you see your favorite colors?

You might as well hit me on the head because I am taken away with this color. It takes me to a calm, peaceful and relaxing place. Life is good!

Now that you are reminded, once again, of this aqua turquoise obsession of mine, I can talk about the rest of my tablescape.

As my guests gather to take a seat, initialed tags are circled around the centerpiece. Each can choose a tag and turn it to the seat of their choice. Now everyone is sitting exactly where they want to be. (Unless someone grabs the seat they had their mind set on.)

The centerpiece is a white pitcher filled with faux ranunculus and other flower buds waiting to bloom. The pitcher is sitting on a small white pizza plate by Fiesta ware.

My stack of white cabbage dishes are Bordallo Pinheiro. The cabbage design makes a great spring pattern. The veins and edges of the pieces make it interesting.

My stack starts with a charger or chop plate, a dinner plate, a salad plate and a bowl. There is a small fruit bowl to the upper left of the stack.

Green napkins, yellow flower napkin rings, and green flatware were used to accent the green and yellow in the tablecloth.

The stemware has a tint of a transparent blue and the stem is a transparent green.

There you have it, a lovely centerpiece . . .

and a spring tablescape with my favorite colors.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have your favorite colors for a spring tablescape in mind - Judy.

Here's another tablescape of mine using the pink Bordallo at Easter.
