New Year's Tablescape

I am designing a New Year's Tablescape to share with you for 2013. I am leaving to travel to see my Dad in Illinois and won't be back for a few weeks so this is my last post for a while.

I am using Lenox Holiday Nouveau Gold salad plates placed on Lenox Eternal China dinner plates.

The napkins are also the Lenox Holiday Nouveau pattern with Lenox Eternal Gold flatware. I love the gold trim on the plates and the flatware. Such a beautiful holiday look this brings to the table. These pieces are sitting on Lenox placemats which have such a delicate feel.

The glassware for the table features clear Fostoria goblets and amber wine glasses. I choose the Fostoria because it was my Mom's favorite and the amber wine glasses for their color, hoping to accent the gold rim on the China and flatware. What do you think?

The centerpiece was created using winter white glittered magnolias, gold and silver glittered leaves, white candles in crystal candlesticks, gold and silver stemmed pieces, plus two types of pine cones.

Additional candlesticks are added to each end of the centerpiece for a little more beauty and elegance.

My centerpiece theme is carried to my sideboard with the magnolias, pine cones and silver stems. Two white candles in Lenox candlesticks are reflecting in the silver platter. Two pillar candles are used with silver candle holders.

Thanks for always stopping by my blog and leaving such kind messages. I hope 2013 brings you peace and happiness - Judy.

Note: See you in a few weeks when I return from my visit to Illinois.

Aqua Sparkle Tablescape

I have been planning this aqua sparkle tablescape to share with you but it took me longer than expected to get it ready. I haven't been home for three weeks, so my table got put on hold until I returned.

So it has taken me until Sunday evening to get this post ready.

I am using my favorite aqua color in my kitchen for Christmas. You may have seen my aqua mantle here.

I have used these aqua dishes many time but for Christmas, I'm adding lots of sparkle to the table.

I found the aqua stems and ornaments to use in my centerpiece at Michael's this year.

The 11 inch plate is by Peggy Karr Glass.

The aqua trees in my centerpiece are from Hobby Lobby.

Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

Merry Christmas - Judy.

Winter Holiday Santa

My Winter Holiday Santa by Fitz and Floyd makes a gorgeous piece for this vignette.

Santa's coat has such rich colors and a beautiful detailed pattern.

The little fox seems to be sniffing the candle.

The polar bear and rabbit are staying near Santa.

Santa is ready to deliver the toys stuffed in his bag.

Berries and greenery in a Fitz and Floyd vase finish the vignette.

"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night."

Christmas Vignette

One of my favorite Peggy Karr plates to display at Christmas is the White Poinsettia plate.

This year, I am using the plate in a small vignette on my sideboard. The plate was a gift from my Dad a few years ago so will always be special.

My candlesticks are Fitz and Floyd. They are not from a Christmas collection but are a perfect red to use for the season.

I selected a lighter green candle for a little contrast with the Christmas wreath in the background.

Creating vignettes around the house at Christmas seems to bring cheer to very spot.

Hope you are enjoying your Christmas decorating - Judy.

Santa's Tree

I've been decorating at my daughter's house this week. She took a week of vacation so we could get the decorating and baking done. Her hearth room tree is a woodsy theme with reds, cranberry and gold.

Santa are tucked in here and there throughout the tree.

Deep red ornaments are nestled behind the grapevines away from little hands.

Ribbons and pine cones.

Grapes and grapevines.

More Santa's and lots of lights.

Stems of berries throughout the tree.

Garlands of berries and gold poinsettias

 golden berries

Feathers and berries for the top of the tree.

The tree is done

and this little darling is just waiting for Santa.

Merry Christmas to all - Judy.
